A composition studio for perfumers

From brief
to formula.

Osmenia is a quiet workshop for the work of fragrance composition — software tools for the brief, the palette, and the sheet that goes to the bench. We are building it carefully, with perfumers, in private, and inviting a small first cohort.

I. About

A studio, not a generator.

Osmenia is the practising perfumer’s tool for moving from a spoken brief to a working formula. We learn from the published record of fragrance composition — patents, monographs, and disclosed accords — and we render that knowledge as a workbench: pyramid, dose ranges, IFRA compliance, drydown, sourcing.

We are not a recipe generator and not a label-pasting AI. The studio proposes; the perfumer composes. Every output is built to be edited, critiqued, costed, and signed off by a human nose.

II. Services

What it does, plainly.

Osmenia is offered as a software service for fragrance design, formulation analysis, and regulatory compliance. The studio is available by invitation while we work with founding users. A general release is planned.
№ 01 Composition tools Translate a written brief into proposed formulations across a curated palette of aroma materials, with structured pyramid, volatility tiers, and dose recommendations grounded in the published record.
№ 02 Formulation editor Tune ratios on a working sheet with live recompute of the predicted descriptor profile and twelve-hour drydown — at the doses you choose, not at fictional defaults.
№ 03 Compliance check Each candidate is verified against IFRA category limits and the EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex III — by category, at your selected doses. Violations are surfaced inline.
№ 04 Sourcing & sheet Working sheets ready for the bench: ingredient table with CAS, supplier shortlists for each material, retail-proxy cost estimate, and a print-ready PDF you can hand to a partner laboratory.
III. Method

Trained on what perfumers actually wrote.

The studio’s underlying models are trained on a curated corpus of fragrance patents and disclosed compositions, and validated against published perceptual-similarity benchmarks. Where natural essential oils enter the work, their typical compositions are sourced from the standard reference texts of the trade — Arctander, Bauer, Surburg, Burdock.

Every model output carries provenance. Every dose recommendation is traceable to the patents that taught it. Every IFRA flag is keyed to the standard it was drawn from. When a number is uncertain, we say so.

IV. Access

Founding cohort — by invitation.

We are working with a small group of independent perfumers and craft brand owners through the first edition. If your practice would benefit from earlier access, leave a note. We answer personally; we do not run a waitlist algorithm.

Or write to hello@osmenia.com directly. Please mention your house, practice, or interest.
